Chris Peeman in Dallas hired me to do the cover for the Texas Center in 2002 featuring one of his Oak Haven Farms Champions, "The Ludo Pied Cock". I decided to utilize as much color as possible on the background, as the bird itself was primarily black and white. So I created an image that had the most striking 3 color combination - red / black / & white. It always works, and it did once again here. The cover was a huge success. It was created from a blurred butterfly wing in case you want to know. See it again on the next page. I will be once again designing the cover for their 2003 yearbook as well, coming up shortly. |
