This was the second year I created the cover for the American Racing Pigeon Union Yearbook. Again, Chris Peeman, from Oak Haven Farms asked me to do the work. He wanted something patriotic following the attack on the US on 9/11. Answer: Use the American Flag as a backround, subtlely blending warm colors to smooth the image out, yet using a bold red for the year 2002. Being a unique year, I was able to stack the 20 and 02 to create a more contemporary look. |
