The heads of the San Diego Classic decided they wanted a full color layout for their 25th anniversary race. They wanted the "feel" of San Diego and yet still get across the fact it is a futurity and list the highlights of their race versus all the others. Answer: use a warm tropical background with palm trees and the ocean indicative of the Southern California landscape, yet place race birds over the top. Final Outcome: warm, inviting, and brought in new flyers who had never participated in years past. |
